(June 16, 2003) - Covalent Technologies announced the immediate support of BEA WebLogic Platform in Covalent Application Manager (CAM). This support can deliver the first open standards-based Web application management solution for WebLogic Platform, enabling IT operations to improve the service quality and reduce the costs of their Web applications. Companies using BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform 7.0 or HP's HP-UX 11/11i operating systems can now use PerformaSure to detect and diagnose performance problems in their J2EE applications.

(June 10, 2003) - The City of Chicago has built its first Web service on the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform, linking its online bill payment and permit centers so that city residents can apply for, receive, and pay for building permits without having to visit city offices. The new Web service is part of the city's transparent government initiative, which is intended to increase public visibility into city operations, make city services more accessible and convenient, and enable Chicago residents to more easily search and find information about their city.

(December 4, 2002) - The BEA WebLogic Server has earned Common Operating Environment (COE) certification from the U.S. Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).
